And when we're done, you'll find I had some people come to me and say, I'm glad I'm single.
And remember before I started, I told you, you'll be happy that you are.
And you rarely hear that.
People are not glad when they're single.
Anyway, so the first point is the reason why this is important.
To show you why it is important, why singleness can have its value.
That's number one.
Number two, the importance of purity and not just sexual purity,
but purity in the sense of the capacity to see rightly.
That's where my emphasis is.
The capacity to see rightly, not just doing things randomly.
Okay.
Now, there are classifications of connections that we have.
I like to classify them into three.
They are classifications.
They are classifications of connections that we have, three of them.
The first classification is the classification of having connection with an average person.
And I will explain what an average person is as we go on.
Whether you know it or not, everyone you encounter, you have a connection with.
It just defas the levels and the depth of connectivity.
They are weak connections and they are strong ones.
Okay.
So across these three classifications, the depths of connectivity determine the bond.
So there are connections you will have with the average person.
There are connections secondly, that you will have with a person who's not average.
And by not average, I don't mean financial status.
I don't mean how popular he is.
I mean a person who has a status in the spirit.
Now, from a biblical perspective, we all do positionally,
but very few of us work in it experientially.
There are people who have a position in the spirit and know exactly what they're doing,
how they're doing it and why.
And I showed you an example last week of how Abraham, God's issue with Abimelech
was not because he took a woman, someone else's wife,
but because he took a wife of a prophet, someone who had a position in the spirit.
Okay.
But it's also possible for a person to connect, have a connection and a deep connection
with someone on the dark side who has a position in the spirit.
So for example, Ahab had a connection with Jezebel.
Jezebel, the Bible refers to as a witch.
Okay.
So he's not just marrying any other woman, he has married a witch.
And there are effects to that.
Okay.
Then, thirdly, the third classification is where a person
doesn't marry an average person or doesn't connect with an average person.
They don't connect with a person who has a position in the spirit,
but they connect with a spirit.
Okay.
Are we on the same wavelength?
So you can connect with an average person, you can connect with a person
who's not average, they're not normal from a spiritual perspective,
then you can connect with a spirit.
And even with spirits, there are various levels of connection,
from weak to deep.
And the depth of which is marriage.
And I showed you last week that the Bible says you can be,
if you joined with God, 1 Corinthians 6 to 17, you were one spirit with Him.
So there's a marriage that you have with God.
It is possible for a person to have the same level of union with a demonic spirit.
However, once a person is a born-again spirit, born-again person,
their spirit has been regenerated, that part is no go for the enemy.
That part is no go for the enemy.
Okay.
A Christian cannot be possessed,
but a Christian can be demonized.
The difference between possession and being demonized
is that possession, your whole body, soul and spirit have been taken over by a demon.
But when a person is demonized, even though God is still residing in their spirit,
the enemy can have influence over their soul and their body.
We're together.
Yes.
Okay.
So to the person who sent me that question,
that's the answer to that.
So in essence, a Christian cannot, a born-again Christian,
cannot be married in the sense of a person to a spirit,
a demonic spirit in the sense of a person who's not born again.
But still they can be a sort of influence, a deep one,
over the soul and over the body.
And I told you that these influences cut across from weak to very strong,
dependent on certain factors.
So for example, consent, both in the natural and in the spirit, are very important.
A demon and a divine being needs your consent.
It's the reason why the Bible says,
when you're getting given your life to Christ,
it says you must confess with your mouth,
Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart.
Consent is necessary.
Both in the divine and even the demonic.
And you see, many people consent in the demonic in a way by which
they do it unconsciously.
And I'm going to show you how it happens.
Consent can happen in that way.
But one is consent.
Very, very crucial to determine how deep a connection is.
Secondly is vows.
Vows.
You can make a vow with the spirit.
You can make a vow with people.
Consciously, unconsciously.
So for example, I don't want to go ahead of myself,
but two people can be in a relationship.
And because of the love and the emotion they have for each other,
they declare to each other that you are the only one.
And you see, it's different from someone just saying it.
I'm talking about where the emotion, the will is involved.
And they say to each other, I'll never have anyone else.
I'm talking about just a relationship.
And from a spiritual perspective, it can be a vow.
And that vow can seal something.
And you can be married to someone without being married.
And I'll show you the effects.
Am I making sense?
It's why some of these things,
it's the reason why the vows are saved for marriage.
But some people do these things and some of you know,
and I'll show you the effects.
Now, in order to bring up across my point,
I have to go all the way back to the very simple basics of
first Thessalonians that says,
you are a spirit, you're a soul, and you're a body.
You're with me?
You're a spirit, you're a soul, you're a body.
And in terms of the three classifications that I talked about,
connections you have with the average person,
connections you have with abnormal people
who have some connection in the spirit
and connections you have with spirits.
I'm going to do those over the next two weeks.
So today I want to focus on the first category
because it's very important.
Actually, 90% of the people in Christianity and in life,
most of their ties happen within this first section.
Very few happen in the other two.
That's the reason I want to focus on this one
and you'll understand why.
Thessalonians says that you are a spirit,
you're a soul, you're a body.
It says it in that order, not the other way around it.
You're not a body soul spirit,
you're a spirit, you're a soul, and you're a body.
Now, the body, all of us see,
you know what you want in agai or agau.
So you look from the physical perspective,
see the type of skin color that you want,
the height that you want.
And that stuff is very important
to us as human beings and it's important.
We're praised a lot, we can't just discard it.
It's very, very important.
However, there are more important parts.
So with the body, from the physical perspective we see,
I can see what you look like,
I can determine if you're Ugandan for example,
I can determine just by looking at you,
there are people you can look at and you can know
which area of Uganda they are from.
And depending on parts of the body.
Now, that's the physical,
but the part that I want to focus on is the soul,
because you've had for many, for a long time,
and I want to show you how this is important
towards relationships.
The soul has three major compartments,
three major compartments,
and each compartment has its inhabitants or its components.
The first compartment is the compartment that has
the intellect, the will and the emotion.
Intellect or logic means that everything,
every information you gather on the face of this earth
from the day that you are born,
everything you start learning goes into your soul.
Everything, every color you like,
every new information that comes to you,
even about a person,
anything that you can see goes directly into your soul.
Okay?
That is the logical aspect of it,
the intellectual aspect.
Then there is the emotion.
You have emotions deep within you,
and those emotions and feelings,
they determine how you respond to things,
emotions of anger, love and so on and so forth.
Then you have the will.
The will is the way by which you make your decisions.
The decisions that you make are dependent upon
the information you have
and death and how you feel.
Are we at the same level?
Okay?
So the other two,
the logic and the emotions play a vital role
in the will.
And all that is found in your soul.
If a person's emotions
and the amount of information they have
is, let me, actually let me put it this way,
it is very difficult.
To change how a person acts
without dealing with how they feel
and the information they have.
Okay?
That's why we call it soul winning.
Because you see,
not spirit winning,
you don't win spirits,
you win the soul.
Okay?
Because the soul is the vital aspect by which
a person's destiny is determined.
Vital.
And so you will go to someone
and the people who are atheists
because of the amount of information they have.
And so if you introduce another amount of information,
it has the capacity to change the way
they see things and what they do.
All right?
So the will is largely affected
by the amount of information you have
as well as how you feel.
I'll get back to that.
That's the first compartment.
Then you have the compartment
that is
senses.
The senses are also found deep inside the soul.
Okay?
Now, this is very, very important because
your ability to see
is not because of your eyes.
You see because your soul sees.
Eye.
Okay?
Your ability to speak
is because your soul can speak.
When the soul leaves the body,
the mouth knows eyes don't have the function they had.
So what was making them functional
was the ability of the soul inside.
Okay?
And we know this from Luke chapter 16
because souls go to hell.
Or go to the other world.
Lazarus and the rich man.
And they can see, they can smell,
they can touch, they can all that.
So all these aspects are found within the soul.
Then the last category, compartment of the soul
is your conscience, your subconscious and your memory.
Your conscience is that you're very aware
of everything around you right now.
Your subconscious is the collection of your memories.
Every time you encounter something,
every time you do something,
every time you come across a new piece of information,
it is recorded in your soul as a memory
and then comes into your subconscious.
So you will know it's in your subconscious
when some day you're walking along
and you remember a smell.
You know?
Something, a smell can just come across
and you remember something,
maybe a relationship you had because of that particular smell.
Which means then,
that even though the relationship may have ended,
you have carried part of it in your soul.
Are you with me?
Those three compartments are so vital
to your relationships you have with the average person.
To such an extent that if all three are aligned
to one particular person,
it becomes what has been known as a soul tie.
So in other words, if you're relating with someone
and you've built memories over time,
and your senses were attached,
your emotions were attached,
all the knowledge you learnt,
things you've got to know,
they're attached to this person,
the deeper the connection.
And so that's why breakups for certain people
hurt more than others
because you are not just connected physically.
Some of you are like this.
Praise the living God.
You're not just connected physically.
And so here's what happens if I can give you an example.
Imagine a situation where two people
have been dating for 10 years.
That's different from two people
and it's possible I know such people.
You can start all the way from primary four.
Now, they've been dating for 10 years or so.
It's different from a person
who has been dating for a couple of months.
Very different because the amount of memory,
information, emotion
that has been put into that relationship
is different from this other chap.
No matter how much this other one says,
I love him so much,
because there are other things that contribute
to people coming together
other than just how you feel.
Now, people can enter into a relationship
in a number of ways.
This is just a bonus.
A person can enter a relationship
logically.
He has money, his wealth,
his family is fine
and you enter it from a logical perspective.
Someone else can enter a relationship emotionally.
So logic is not there.
He just makes me feel right.
He just, you know.
Now, here's the thing.
Here's the danger.
Both are very important,
but here's the danger.
Say you've entered a relationship with logic
and this girl or guy breaks your heart.
The longer you've been with this person,
the more you distrust how you entered.
And so you fall to the other part.
Now I'm looking for a guy
who can make me feel.
And he speaks to someone
who can make me feel right.
Now, if you have gone in with this emotion
and things go wrong,
the next thing you are saying,
now I'm going to use what?
Some of you all know what I'm talking about.
So you're like these things of the heart.
Then you even quote the heart.
The Bible says the heart is deceitful.
And indeed, it is deceitful.
But the Bible says it changes your heart
and gives you a heart of flesh.
When God abides the closer you get with Him,
the purer the decisions become.
Now, I'll touch that as we go on the next weeks.
So, when a person closes out,
say they've gone in with their head
and they close out from the logic.
And they close out from the logic.
And they close out from the logic.
And they close out from the logic.
And they just look for the emotion.
Everything will be telling them,
don't go with this guy right in front of him.
And they will disregard it
because he's touching the right buttons.
The heart.
Everything will tell them.
Now, the other hand you have this other chap
who is like my father owns this.
And in the next few years,
I'm going to do this.
And I want to be a millionaire under vision.
You all know what I'm talking about.
You're seeing a future.
And your friends are like,
but you like this guy.
Listen, like is not the issue.
You see, as ladies it's security.
I wish I had time to dwell on this because
please understand that the ideal
is to have both of them present.
But even more so, add spirit.
There's a category I haven't touched,
the people who use only spirit
and disregard logic and what.
Because there's also that.
And I'll tell you how it works.
A man of God tells you this is your wife
or this is your husband.
And he doesn't say the season.
So let's say,
and this is just an example.
I picked out someone and said his name is James.
And if you're lucky enough,
I picked him out and I said,
that's James over there in a private.
Now things start burning you.
Cause James is not saying anything.
So you pass by James once.
Pass by James the second time.
James is not paying attention.
But you see what you don't realize
is that God might have shown you James.
But there's something James is being,
there's something God is working on in James.
All right.
The word stands,
but don't awaken love before it's time.
The Bible says.
So it's very possible to be all spirit
and lack logic and what.
And also I just feel like people need to,
because you see there's a tendency
within the confines of church
that I could pick someone
by the spirit of God
and say this is the person for you.
And you don't feel any love for them.
And I've met a number of ladies who actually,
because man of God has said,
they go into the cage.
It becomes a prison.
And so no matter what that guy does
in the relationship,
God said.
And I really,
this is not the direction I want you to go.
But it's very important that all three categories
all three are combined.
Very, very, very, very important.
So the soul of a person is vital.
You see spirits are very possessive.
A spirit in order to express itself
in the physical needs a human being.
Okay.
Now a spirit will want you to give
it's yourself to it completely.
All right.
Both divine
and demonic.
Based on legal faculties in the spirit,
in the spirit realm,
a person can be connected to a spirit legally
because there was consent,
there was a vow.
And another aspect,
because listen,
you can have as many connections you have with people,
but the deepest connection
on the face of this earth,
when it comes to human beings is sexual
because it includes both body, soul and spirit.
Now let me tell you this.
Not everyone a person sleeps with.
Are they married to them?
But you're connected to everyone
that you sleep with.
There's a connection.
Why?
Because I've just tried to show you
that things are passed on.
Okay.
You see,
all this that I talked about
in terms of the soul,
the three compartments,
the senses,
the subconscious,
conscious and the memory
and the will,
the intellect and the emotion,
all that is what we call the aura of a person.
Some people get offended by aura,
so atmosphere or energy.
Every one of us have atmospheres and energies.
Every one of us.
You can connect to someone
from a weak perspective
through atmospheres connecting.
When two of us come together
and we talk,
two worlds have just met
and I've told this before
that if the longer I spend with you,
the person who's world is stronger
will make the other submit.
So you can be a born again Christian,
but if you meet a person
who is more entrenched
in their unbelief
than you are in your belief,
the longer you stay with them,
you just conform.
That's the power of worlds
when they come together.
That's why the Bible is specific
to say bad company corrupts.
And yet ideally you can just sit with them.
I'm just sitting with a person
but things can be exchanged
on that level,
just atmospheres.
Low level.
Then as we go on to places
like I gave you an example of a vow.
Do you know that
someone can be doing fine
whenever they apply for a job
they get one,
they get promotions.
But then when they connect with someone
everything stops.
And you see,
people don't realize
that it's not just the bodies
that are connecting.
This person is bringing
more than just his physical presence.
And this is why last week
I was telling you
it is important
to have a spiritual person
before you waive more
the better part is for you
to be spiritual.
Praise the Lord.
Because people carry atmospheres.
Let no one deceive you.
When it comes to dealing
with the average person,
whenever there is intercourse
there is an exchange.
And depending on how long
and how deep
something was invested
that level of connection
is harder to break.
Now from dealing with
the average person
because all this is spiritual
when you're dealing
when you're connected
with an average person
you could
there's still
it's just just people think
that spiritual ties are just with
dealing with spirits
but you can have a connection
with anyone
and it has some spiritual impact.
And not all souls ties are bad
not all of them are bad.
You can be tied for example
to your parents
because of the amount of time
that you've been with them.
The only difference is that
there's no ceiling
of the covenant
the sexual activity.
So it's not as deep as someone
someone has slept with.
Are you getting
good where I'm coming from?
All right.
Now these things are
so heavy
that I have to be very sensitive
and they're very wide
because there's so many questions
people have been asking me
and I can't put everything
inside one basket
I have to take you one step
at a time.
The devil is very interested
in the concept
of who you're connected to
because he knows that
God is a jealous God
spirits get jealous
divine or demonic
when you meet a person
and they carry an aura
and a tie was made
by their great grandfather
because you see
dedications exist in the bible

was taken for a dedication
so they're divine dedications

a person can dedicate a child

because words are spirit

when you're dealing with
the average person
you say you're the only one
you're the what
and until
you let go of that thing
you'll be approaching people
or some people don't approach you

you've connected yourself
to some guy you

oh they don't show up at all
and those things

dependent on how much
of your emotion
and those things are very powerful
the spirit of your word

are attached to what you're saying

if a person does not do that
here's what happens
they go into the next relationship

say you've been with someone for 10 years

you break up
normally what will happen is

when she moves into the next relationship
she doesn't want to start from the beginning
consciously
so she will move into
because this one was 10 years
she will move into the next relationship
and say I want to get married
I don't know if you get what I'm saying
she's not
she's not starting afresh
like she did with the other guy
she has gone into this one
but because she has been in the other one for long
here she has jumped straight to
I don't know if I'm speaking to somebody
and this is for a person like who has been hurt and so on and so forth
and so
if she gets into a relationship with that person
they are three in the relationship
the guy she has got into a relationship with
and the other chap
they are three
and she has been in the relationship
and she has been in the relationship
and she has been in the relationship
and at that level
now you understand the degree of ties
you understand
and so you walk in
and you begin to put the pressures
the things that you did not receive the other side
and you put them on our innocent
and the reverse can be
can be true
the idea is entering something like that
you must renew
start afresh
this is something new
and you will be shocked because people think that renewing means
I'm going to go another 10 years without being married
that's not what it means
when you see things
that's why I said seeing things purely
that this is a different person
there are people who's dictates about relationships
are based on what they had in the past

and I'm a very big advocate
for the presence of money in a relationship
but
let me show you this other side
do you know
if you go into a relationship
just because of the finances
and I'm getting this from someone I sat with just a few weeks ago
if you're dealing with a guy
who you found already established
you never contributed to that establishment
and so you're disposable

a thing can change from being a marriage
and this is when you married a person
I haven't even gone into guys who are spiritual, demonic
what those ones you shall touch

your guy who just walks around
not normal average guy

and sometimes when you find a person
who is already established
and has made it to the top without you
because the ideal is that
you're supposed to be a helper
now
let me make the statement
it's very crucial
you find your purpose
then you marry your purpose mate
you don't find your lover
you find your helper
you don't find your lover

why because within the confines of marriage
love is the smallest thing

it's not the one you you go in with
because at a certain point
you will not feel it

if a guy is established

he will find you disposable

that you have with the average person

so you can have a relationship
with someone who has something in the spirit

they are businessmen
who are natural
then they are businessmen
who have built their wealth
from a spiritual perspective
and so he's not just a businessman
he's a businessman
with a connection in the spirit
when you marry that man
you're not just marrying a businessman
like any other person
